9 bayforBavarian Research Alliance GmbH is an association promoting Bavaria as a centre for science and innovation within the European Research Area. BayFOR is financed by the Bavarian state government. It supports scientists from Bavaria and stakeholders from the private sector on European research funds. The focus is directed at the current EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020”. As a partner organisation in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) funded by EU, BayFOR supports SMEs in applying for EU research projects.

  • We identify project partners in your thematic area of science and business
  • We support you from project initiation to completion

Key Personnel involved: Dr. Daniel Kießling


He is a scientific officer at BayFOR, responsible for Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, Energy Efficient Buildings and Green Vehicles. He studied molecular science and completed his PhD in organic photovoltaics at the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen Nuremberg. Since December 2011 he is working at BayFOR, supporting EU research projects as well as promoting science to the public.


Role in the project

As an associated partner BayFOR will provide training regarding European Research policies, grant writing and project management.
