Key people I involved: Prof. Mats Andersson

andersson He received the M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. Since 2004, he has been a Professor of Polymer Chemistry at Chalmers University of Technology. His current research interests include design and synthesis of conjugated polymers for electronic and photonic applications. In 2011 Thomson Reuters ranked him nr 53 of the most cited material scientists in the world the last decade. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences since 2012.
 

Key people II involved: Prof. Ergang Wang

wangHe received his PhD degree in Materials Science from South China University of Technology, China, under the supervision of Prof. Yong Cao in 2008. He was a postdoc in the group of Prof. Mats Andersson at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, from 2008 to 2011. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, from 2012. At present his main focus is on the synthesis and characterization of new conjugated polymers/small molecules for bulk heterojunction organic solar cells.

Role in the project

We will supervise two ESR. We will design and synthesize NIR oligomers and polymers, which will be provided to other partners.
